Meet Our Providers
Southside Pediatrics is dedicated to providing comprehensive and compassionate medical care to the children in Barry County and the surrounding areas. We believe that preventative care is essential to the health and well-being of a child. Our providers and staff are supporters' of routine well child examinations, immunizations, and behavioral screening. We strive to provide excellent care in a warm friendly environment.
Carrie Wilgus, MD
Board Certified Pediatrician
Carrie Wilgus is a board-certified pediatrician who received her medical degree from Indiana University. She completed her pediatric residency at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. Dr. Wilgus has been serving the Barry County Community in healthcare for children since 1999. She serves on the Barry County United Way board, as well as the Barry County Child Death Review Team. Dr. Wilgus has a special interest in nutrition, preventative health, and complete wellness of children and families. She and her husband reside in the Hastings area and enjoy spending time with their four children and grandchildren.
Ashley Gielarowski, NP

Family Nurse Practitioner
In 2010, Ashley Gielarowski earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Davenport University. Ashley worked for five years as an RN in the Emergency Department at Spectrum Pennock Hospital while earning her Master of Science degree at Georgetown University. It was during this time she developed her passion for pediatrics. Ashley enjoyed two clinical rotations at Southside Pediatrics prior to graduating in December of 2015. Ashley and her husband, Nick, are longtime residents of Barry County and have two children Reagan and Jameson. They are both active members of their local church where they enjoy spending time serving the community.
Emily Sydloski, PA
Board Certified Physician Assistant
Emily Sydloski has been serving the Hastings community as a physician assistant since 2013. She grew up in Middleville, graduated from Thornapple Kellogg Schools and then attended Grand Valley State University. She received her Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2010 and a Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies in 2012. Emily worked in the Emergency Department and Urgent Care at Spectrum Health Pennock Hospital for four years before joining the Southside Pediatrics team in 2017. Emily and her husband, Mitch, reside in the Middleville area and have two children.
Abby St. Jacques, MD
Board Certified Pediatrician
Abby St. Jacques is a pediatrician who is originally from Grand Rapids and loves the West Michigan area. She finished high school in Thailand and completed her undergraduate at Houghton College in New York. She returned to Michigan and obtained her medical degree from Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in 2011 and then completed her three-year residency in pediatrics at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids in 2014. She has particular interests in international children’s health, family education, and behavioral pediatrics. Dr. Abby and her husband, Matt, reside in the Hastings area and have three children.
Taylor Tripp
Board Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
Taylor was born and raised in Middleville and graduated from Thornapple Kellogg schools. She received both a Bachelor of Science degree and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Alma College in 2016. For the past 6 years she has worked at Corewell Health as both a bedside nurse and as an inpatient hospice liaison throughout their service area. Taylor had the pleasure of completing a clinical rotation at Southside Pediatrics where she discovered her love of children and pediatric practice. In April 2023, Taylor graduated with her Doctorate of Nursing practice with a focus in Family Medicine. Taylor and her boyfriend Kevin reside in the Middleville area with their daughter and pets. Outside of work she loves to dance and continues to teach dance within the Hastings community.
